The CIHEAM-IAMM is one of the 52 members of Agropolis International , an association founded in 1986 by research and higher education institutions of Montpellier and Languedoc-Roussillon, all or partly involved in agriculture, food, biodiversity and environment. Since its creation, Agropolis International has benefited from the support of the State and the local authorities.
Not only is Agropolis an international platform turned towards the Mediterranean and the southern countries, but it is also a multi-stakeholders place, open to all partners invested in economic development.
As it is located at the heart of Agropolis International, the CIHEAM-IAMM provides you the opportunity for very useful networking throughout your career!
Montpellier has earned its reputation as a young and dynamic city. With its 70 000 students throughout the year, the capital of the Hérault department abounds with entertainment venues. You can start your evening on the terrace of a café before enjoying one of the many restaurants of the city. Gastronomy lovers will have the pleasure to taste the local food at a reasonable price.
Art and culture lovers can visit the city’s many museums (some of which are free or grant discounted rates to students).
When in Montpellier, you can also enjoy a variety of festivals, with special mention to CineMed, the annual International Festival of Mediterranean Film that highlights the best Mediterranean cinema productions : many films are screened and meetings organized with guests from the movie industry.
